Overview

Sending an SMS via email is a convenient way to communicate directly from Outlook or your preferred email client.

However, email signatures can sometimes interfere with message formatting or use unnecessary text characters.

Our system automatically detects and removes signature blocks, but there may be instances where the algorithm doesn't succeed.

How to Ensure Your Signature is Removed

To prevent unwanted signature text from being included in your SMS, you can manually indicate where your signature begins. Use one of the following methods to separate your message from your signature:

  • Four consecutive dashes (----)
  • Four consecutive underscores (_____)
  • Four consecutive line breaks

Example:

Hello, this is a sample Email-to-SMS message.
----

By applying these simple formatting techniques, you can ensure that your SMS message remains clean and free of unintended signature text.
