Connecting TNZ SMS
Step 1: Log into your TNZ Dashboard
Login to your TNZ Account: https://my.tnz.co.nz
Ensure your TNZ login name matches your App login name.
Agency Owners: If you are an Agency owner, your TNZ username will need to match your Agency username.
If you do not have an account, you can register here: https://www.tnz.co.nz/Services/SignUp
Step 2: Connect TNZ to GHL
From the TNZ Dashboard menu, select Service Settings, then Integrations
Select GoHighLevel and connect your Go High Level account, ensuring your TNZ login name matches your GHL login name.
Step 3: Configure Your SMS Settings
Agency Admins: If you are an Agency owner, you will need to log in as your Agency user, then switch to a sub-account and repeat Step 3 for each sub-account.
If you wish to set TNZ as your default SMS provider for all GHL SMS messaging, perform these steps.
If you do not have access to an agency admin login, skip this step.
Log into GHL as an agency admin, then:
- Select a subaccount.
- Navigate to Settings, then Phone Numbers, then the Advanced Settings tab.
- Select TNZ SMS Provider as your new default SMS provider and click Save.
Repeat for each subaccount.
You can now start sending SMS messages and receiving replies via the TNZ SMS app.
Step 4: Sending SMS to Contacts
Sending SMS
If you successfully set TNZ SMS as your SMS Provider (in Step 3), then you can use the default SMS tools.
For example, you can open a Contact and select 'SMS' from the message window.
You can also open Conversations and create a new conversation.
If you did not set TNZ SMS as your SMS Provider (in Step 3), you must use the 'TNZ SMS' options.
Receiving Replies
When a contact replies to a message, it will display under the Contact's conversation.
You can also view the reply in the TNZ Dashboard, and you will also receive an email notification.
Disable Email Notifications for SMS Replies
To turn off email notifications:
- Log into the TNZ Dashboard
- Select Users from the menu
- Click on your user email
- Click on the SMS tab
- Toggle the SMS Reply Report Method option to 'None'
- Click Update
Step 5: Send SMS in Workflows
You can optionally use SMS messaging in Automations, for example, automatically send a welcome SMS when creating a new Contact, or sending a Happy Birthday message on a contact's birthday.
Note: The "TNZ SMS" actions incur a Premium Action cost (an additional fee charged to you by the marketplace). You can avoid this cost by setting TNZ SMS as the default SMS Provider (in Step 3 above).
1. Create a new Workflow or open an existing one
2. Configure an appropriate 'Trigger' that will cause your workflow to run
3. Add a new 'Action' and find 'Send SMS'
• Send SMS uses the default GHL SMS settings. If your default SMS Provider is TNZ SMS (set up in Step 3), it will use TNZ SMS.
• Send TNZ SMS forces GHL to use TNZ SMS.
• Send TNZ Internal SMS forces GHL to use TNZ SMS to send a message to internal app users.
4. Enter your Message and send a test before saving your action
• Action Name is a description displayed in your workflow.
• TNZ User Email Address allows you to select the SMS Sender that should be charged for the messages (for example, you might want a specific SubAccount to be billed for these messages). By default, leave blank.
• Mobile Number is the mobile telephone number that should receive the SMS message. You may specify up to five other mobile numbers separated by commas (ensure you use the full country code).
• Message contains the SMS message to send and may include dynamic values. You may send messages longer than 160 characters and are charged per SMS Part (see Long SMS Messages).
